Health and Harmony: The Future for Food, Farming and the Environment in a Green Brexit

The RAU has responded to the recent Defra Consultation on future UK Agriculture Policy.

The RAU response was based on the technical and policy expertise of RAU academics and on an analysis of the options undertaken by Agra CEAS Consulting, part of Informa Agribusiness Consulting.

In broad terms, the RAU strongly welcomes the ambitious goals outlined in the Health and Harmony consultation and commits to support all rural business and communities as they face the forthcoming challenges and opportunities.  Whilst there is much to commend within the Health and Harmony consultation, it is clear that all stakeholders will need to contribute to fleshing out to the details of the new approach.
