RAU Graduate wins funding from The Cotteswold Naturalists’ Field Club
10 Apr 2019
Oliver Brooks-Adams, RAU graduate with a First in BSc (Hons) Countryside Management, has been awarded a £500 prize for publishing a paper in the Proceedings of the Cotteswold Naturalists’ Field Club (CNFC).
The paper, which was related to Olly’s dissertation, considered public access in conservation areas and the effectiveness of different signage in managing this.
Dr Ian Grange, who supervised the dissertation, said: "This is a fine example of a student both producing a great dissertation, with real world application, but also adding value by disseminating the results via publication."
Our thanks go to Professor Peter Wilson and Joe Angseesing, of the CNFC, who were instrumental awarding the prize as well as peer-reviewing the script.
We are also pleased to have conducted this research alongside Dan Winter from the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, utilising the popular Crickley Hill Nature Reserve. The CNFC student prize and chance of publishing is also open to our current 2018-19 dissertation students.
