On 2 November 2024, Professor Mark Horton, Pro Vice-Chancellor Research & Enterprise, was elected as a member of the National Trust Council at the Trust’s 129th Annual General Meeting, held at Newcastle Civic Centre and online.
Mark received the highest number of votes for a newly elected member with 43,243 votes.
