Scholarships
The Royal Agricultural University offers a number of scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across a range of subject areas. In addition to this, a number of external organisations grant awards which may be of interest to RAU applicants.

Entry Requirements
International Foundation Year
We run an International Foundation Year programme in partnership with our partner, INTO London World education Centre based in London.
Students interested in completing the International Foundation Year should have completed Year 12 and hold a High School Diploma.

English language courses
Students wishing to pursue an English Language programme in the UK prior to commencing their academic programme at the Royal Agricultural University can do so with our partner INTO, based in London.

Undergraduate Degrees (Bachelors)
Applicants with US qualifications should hold a High School Diploma with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and one of the following (or combinations):
ACT
- BCC equivalent - composite score of 26
- CCC equivalent - composite score of 25
- CD equivalent - composite score of 17
APs (USA)
- BCC equivalent – 3 APs with 4-3-3
- CCC equivalent - 3 APs with 3-3-3
- CD equivalent - 2 APs with 3-3
AP & SAT (subject) combination (up to 2015)
- BCC equivalent – 600 in SAT subject and 4-3 in 2 AP subjects
- CCC equivalent - 600 in SAT subject and 3-3 in 2 AP subjects
SATs II (subject)
- BCC equivalent - 600 in each SAT Subject tests
- CCC equivalent - 600 in each SAT Subject tests
- CD equivalent(Foundation degrees) - 450 in SAT Subject tests
Associate Degree/Junior/Community College (Year 1 completion)
- BCC equivalent – CGPA 2.7
- CCC equivalent – CGPA 2.6
- CD equivalent – CGPA 2.0
N.B Applicants who have not met the High School Diploma threshold of GPA 3.0 will be asked to for SAT I (Reasoning test scores).
Alternatively,
BSc (Honors) degree programmes: International Baccalaureate min. 26 points, A-levels or USA or other international equiv. qualifications for bachelor degree programmes.
Foundation degree programmes: International Baccalaureate min. 24 points, A/AS levels or equivalent international qualifications.
IELTS and other accepted English language qualifications are:
- US nationals - Pass English and Maths at Grade 12 in High School Diploma
- Non-US nationals who apply for Foundation Degrees: IELTS (UKVI) band score 6.0 overall or above with no less that 5.5 in each component of the 'academic' IELTS test. The test must have been taken within two years of the start of the course

Postgraduate Taught Degrees (MSc and MBA)
- A 4-year US Bachelor Honours degree
- Upper Second class honours equivalent – GPA 3.2
- Lower second class honours equivalent – GPA 2.5
IELTS and other accepted English language qualifications are:
- US nationals and applicants who have studied in the USA - Batchelor degree from USA or a majority English speaking country
- Non-US nationals who have not studied in the USA or a majority English speaking country - IELTS band score 6.5 overall or above with no less that 5.5 in each component of the 'academic' IELTS test. The test must have been taken within two years of the start of the course
Postgraduate Research Degrees
- For entry to a PhD programme we would require applicants to hold a Masters degree
- Mature candidates with significant relevant work experience and lower academic qualifications may also be considered for entry, following personal interview with the Director of Research
IELTS and other accepted English language qualifications are:
- US nationals: Master's degree from USA or a majority English speaking country
- Non-US nationals who have not studied in the USA or a majority English speaking country: IELTS (Academic) band score of min. 6.5 overall with no less that 6.0 in writing and no less than 5.5 in any other component. The test must have been taken within two years of the start of the course

Applying to the RAU
Undergraduate
