Why did you choose to study this course?
I come from a farming background in a small town in South Wales and liked the idea of being at a small university where it would be easy to get to know faces.
What do you think is the best part about this course?
The modules and lecturers that really make you think. They ask questions that make you evaluate things and look at things in a different light. It really pushes you to deepen and broaden your understanding.
What do you enjoy most at the RAU?
I'm definitely enjoying the social life, there isn’t masses to choose from for a night out but it's always good fun. I also thoroughly enjoy my course! It's been really interesting and the right level of challenging. I’ve built a good relationship with lecturers and will be genuinely sad to leave. I’ve met some fantastic people and had some incredible opportunities that never would have come my way had I not chosen to study at the RAU.
What would you say to a prospective student thinking about choosing your course at the RAU?
Make sure you come to an open day or just call up and have a look around. It makes a huge difference if you are able to physically put yourself here because it makes it easier to imagine yourself studying here and gives you a really good feel for the University. Speak to lecturers and student ambassadors to ask any questions you have and I’m sure you will make a good choice!
I would also say get your head down from day one, of course enjoy yourself and have fun, but the work you put in early on really does pay off in the final year!
I've met some fantastic people and taken some incredible opportunities that never would have come my way had I not chosen the RAU.
