I chose to study BSc (Hons) Agriculture at the RAU because it provided a course with a mixture of business, science, and global issues. The course structure allows you to tailor your studies to your specific interests, or to keep it broad if you are undecided as to which career you would like to pursue. The 20-week work placement provides an opportunity to build on what you have learnt during your first two years, without having to extend your studies by an additional year.
The RAU is the perfect balance between work and play. Lecturers are knowledgeable and personable allowing every student to achieve academically whilst the Student Union provides a platform for all students thrive socially.
The RAU has provided me with the background knowledge required to succeed in the modern UK and global agricultural sector.
I am currently working on the Coldham Estate, which is a part of the Farmcare Ltd group. I have always aspired to manage my own farming business but plan to learn all I can from successful businesses before I start my own.
The RAU has provided me with the background knowledge required to succeed in the modern UK and global agricultural sector. In my final year, industry visits, dissertation research, and careers events provided me with an array of contacts which allowed me to enter the industry in a good position.
The RAU has provided me with a good degree from an institution well-known within the industry.
