Transcript of RAU Student Experience video

I came and did an open day and I loved how small the campus was and how close-knit everybody was.

I'm not from a farming background so I wanted an opportunity to get into the industry and I thought with the Uni's connections and research  this would be the best place to do it.

When I came here I found a very loving and welcoming community. The students, the teaching and the non-teaching staff, they have been able to help me settle in and I just feel at home.

The best thing that I enjoy about being an RAU student is the fact that we are obviously in the countryside.  It's just a really, really beautiful campus and I can be back home, which is London, in about an hour or so. I come from a non-farming background and I was worried that it was going to affect my studies but the lecturers have been really great in answering any questions I've had.

Life as an RAU student is very good, it's very hectic, there's lots going on on campus and off campus in town as well. I've got friends in every year group because of just how close-knit it is and how you can just talk to everyone.

I said I was never going to go to uni, one of my teachers at school was like no you should apply anyway, and I came and just viewed it and fell in love with the place and was like, yeah this is where I want to go - definitely glad I came.

I can't say anything but I'm just glad to have come to this University. What I've gotten here I could not have gotten it elsewhere.

I'm very glad that I came here. I've made some lovely friends and had a great time studying and I love what I do, so yeah.
