RAU and STITA Farm Tours announce new bursary
07 Feb 2020
The Royal Agricultural University (RAU) is pleased to announce a new bursary, generously supported by STITA LLP.
STITA is the leading provider of farm tours in the UK and Europe, providing bespoke travel and logistics packages. Based in Cheltenham, they are a third-generation family business that has been operating for 70 years.
The annual award of £1,750 will be given to an international student who has overcome hardship or financial difficulty. It is designed to help alleviate pressures on the student so that they can focus on their study without worrying about financial needs. The international focus of this award reflects STITA’s varied programme of tours and clientele across the world including the UK, Europe, Brazil, Australia and China.
Jonathan Taylor of STITA said:
It gives all of us at STITA great pleasure to support the award of a new bursary for international students. As an international tour operator, we believe in the value of knowledge exchange and contact between different countries of the world. Helping to extend the learning opportunities provided by a university such as the RAU beyond our shores complements this vision very well.
Jennie Stewart, Head of Recruitment at the RAU, said:
We are delighted to be working with STITA to offer this bursary. Our international students are an important part of our RAU community, with students from more than 40 countries currently studying at our Cirencester campus. We look forward to welcoming the first recipient.
