Conflict in Ukraine: A statement from the Vice-Chancellor Professor Peter McCaffery

We stand with Ukraine.

“Our whole RAU community is shocked by the appalling human tragedy that is unfolding in Ukraine. The conflict is an assault on the most fundamental human values that we hold dear – freedom, democracy, and the right to self-determination.

“We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine. As the “bread basket of Europe”, the people of Ukraine share the same passionate commitment as us to farming and to the land – they are our kith and kin in spirit.
