How to apply for on-campus accommodation

Once you have firmly accepted a conditional or unconditional offer from the RAU as your first choice, you may apply for accommodation.

Please note that at this time the RAU accommodation portal for 2025-26 is undergoing development and is not currently available.

Governance

The Royal Agricultural University is a limited company.

There are up to 12 independent governors who are appointed to serve for up to three terms of three years on the Governing Council. In addition in June 2019 the articles of association were amended to include a Student Governor, a Staff Governor and the Vice-Chancellor.

Beneath the Governing Council are a range of sub-committees that either report to it directly or through the Vice-Chancellor's Executive Group; these sub-committees are chaired by Governors.

Applying to the RAU for postgraduate courses

Applications to study for Masters and research degrees at the Royal Agricultural University need to be made directly through the university.

Please apply via our website, using the online application form. Go to the webpage of the particular course you are interested in and press the ‘Apply’ button. This will also give you some supporting information about the application process.

Applying for a BRP replacement visa (single journey/entry) visa to return to the UK

Once you have your new passport or temporary travel document (if required) you can apply for a visa to return to the UK.

When you apply for a replacement BRP visa from outside the UK, what you actually get is a single journey visa, as a vignette in your passport which is valid for 30 days. You can only use this visa once, which allows you to return to the UK.

Once you have returned to the UK, you will then have to apply for a replacement BRP.
