RAU Swindon is situated in a purpose converted workshop in the railway heritage quarter of Swindon. This £1.35m investment provides modern and fully accessible facilities in an innovative learning space calculated to encourage collaboration and interdisciplinary studies. Designed by award winning architects Metropolitan Workshop and with the generous support of Swindon Borough Council the project is a case study in sustainable, heritage-led, regeneration.

If you are struggling with the cost of attending open days, offer holder days, summer schools or taster days at the RAU's main campus you may be eligible for reimbursement of reasonable travel costs for yourself and up to two additional guests.

Eligibility for this bursary is in line with our Access and Participation Plan. You will need to be a UK resident and looking to study at undergraduate level (BSc, BA or FdSc programmes).

I chose to study the PhD at the RAU because of just the sheer number of connections they have.  I’ve met some amazing people so far and I just don’t think that I would have been able to get quite the same level of connections if I had chosen to take the PhD elsewhere.

When I wanted to put in for my PhD I started looking for universities in the UK. The first school that popped up was the Royal Agricultural University.  The culture, the diversity of the University and their values actually enticed me.

When you leave here with your foundation degree you will have that little bit extra – you will have studied for two years, you will have been in a work placement and you will have had the experience of higher education and we are training you up with a foundation degree, with real industry knowledge, to go out and gain the trust of clients.
