RAU Sports Scholarships

The RAU Sports Scholarships are awarded to students with an outstanding ability in an elite sport to assist their development and raise the profile of the University through their sporting endeavours.

About the scholarship

  • The award is worth up to a maximum of £4,000 for one year only, but re-applications for each year of study are welcomed
  • Part-time scholars will be awarded a pro rata percentage of the award divided between the numbers of years of study

The RAU has been nominated in the University of the Year and Job Prospects categories for the second year running in the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2020.

Now in their seventh year, the Whatuni Student Choice Awards are a celebration of the best universities and higher education institutions in the UK and are based directly on reviews of students themselves.

Whatuni gathered over 41,000 student reviews from 150 participating universities.

RAU ranked one of the UK’s Top Ten Universities

The Royal Agricultural University (RAU) has been ranked among the top ten universities in the UK, in a prestigious set of awards based on the views of students themselves.

The RAU was placed 10th in the University of the Year category at the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2019, rising from 16th in 2018. It also ranked sixth in the Job Prospects category.

The Royal Agricultural University (RAU) is delighted to offer two undergraduate scholarships to attract and reward the brightest applicants from under-represented minority ethnic communities.

RAU Bursary (Stream 2)

The RAU Bursary (Stream 2) offers financial help to eligible undergraduate students for the duration of studies.

About the Bursary

  • Full-time students will receive £3,500 for each year of undergraduate study up to a maximum of £10,500. Part-time payments are pro rata
  • Bursary is payable in three instalments each year in autumn, spring and summer
  • Students awarded a RAU Bursary (Stream 2) are not exempted from applying for an additional award
