Dr Henry Webber

Biography 

Research Fellow in Crop Technology.

 

I am a part time lecturer in crop production and agronomy at the RAU, which I combine with a role as a policy adviser in Defra and work on the family run farm in Essex. My PhD was from the Universities of Bristol and Reading (in collaboration with Historic England), focusing on Precision Farming and Archaeology, studying the impacts that humans have had on the landscape for thousands of years and why this is important for land managers today and in the future.

Dr Katharina Watson

Biography 

Dr Katharina Watson is an Associate Professor in Animal Science. She holds a PhD in Veterinary Epidemiology from the University of Warwick. Before joining the RAU in 2020 she spent four years as a postdoctoral researcher working in the areas of livestock disease, antimicrobial resistance and livestock precision technologies. She is an active researcher and research grant holder of a range of research projects in the areas of animal science, veterinary epidemiology, AgriTech and environmental sciences.

Dr Kelly Hemmings

Biography 

Associate Professor in Ecology and Agroecosystems.

Kelly joined the Royal Agricultural University as a Lecturer in 2014. Prior to this, she was  Lecturer in Earth Sciences at Cirencester Sixth Form College between 2007 and 2014. Kelly has further industry experience including arboretum and horticultural positions.

Dr Ayodeji Owoeye

Biography 

Dr Ayodeji Owoeye has been working at the Royal Agricultural University Since February 2020. He is an experienced lecturer and teaches broadly in the areas of Finance, Accounting and Economics. 

He is a CPA chartered accountant and a professional financial accountant from Institute of Financial Accountants, UK.  He also holds a chartered Banker status from the Chartered Banker Institute, UK.

The Chartered Management Institute

The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) is the only professional body dedicated to promoting the highest standards in management and leadership. They are the only professional body to offer Chartered Manager status. CMI's mission is to create better led organisations and managers.

CMI membership provides practical help and support. The resources they have available will support your academic activities, research and professional development, these resources are outlined in this short video learner induction.

Returning students

If you have completed one course of study and you are applying for a Student visa to study a new course at RAU, you should apply within three months of the new course start date. You cannot apply for a new Student visa earlier than three months from the course start date. RAU becomes responsible for you as soon as your new visa application is approved.

When to apply for your visa

As you are already studying in the UK you will have to apply for a Student visa for the new RAU course you will be starting in order to register and start your new course.

The Innovation Village @ the RAU

Based on a 27-acre site at the University’s Cirencester campus, the new Innovation Village will push the boundaries of sustainable design to ensure a development that is beautiful, carbon neutral, rich in nature, and inspires innovation through its environment.

The Innovation Village aims to support industry, food producers, farmers, and landowners in developing sustainable solutions for healthy land and nature, food production, and resilience in rural communities.

John Edgar Trust - Management Development Scheme

Based in Hampshire, the John Edgar Trust is a charity dedicated to enabling people to achieve their management potential in the farming and rural enterprise sector in southern England.

This three-week residential course in rural business management, is organised and delivered by the Royal Agricultural University on the Trust’s behalf. The course is biennial and with only a small number of places available, it provides a unique opportunity for exceptional participants.
